The AppliedFlight: Online Helicopter Ab-initio Briefings were created with the goal of enhancing safety in the helicopter industry, especially for student and private pilots. It aims to bridge the gap between the theoretical aerodynamics covered in many courses and the practical, hands-on aspects of helicopter flight. It is not intended to replace comprehensive courses on aerodynamics, navigation, or other aspects of the private pilot’s license. This course should be used alongside quality instruction from a reputable flying school, where quiz exams are part of their training syllabus.
The intention is to share the knowledge and experience gained over 17 years of helicopter flying, 15 years of instruction, and over 5,500 hours of flight instruction time, with more than 4,000 hours on Robinson helicopters.
